Managing Contacts
Contacts are the heart of your CRM. Learn how to add, organize, and manage your leads and clients effectively.
Adding Contacts
Manual Entry
- 1.Click "Add Contact" or press
N - 2.Fill in required fields: Name, Email, Phone
- 3.Add optional fields: Company, Source, Notes
- 4.Select the pipeline stage to place them in
- 5.Click "Save" to create the contact
Bulk Import
Import contacts from CSV, Excel, or other CRMs:
- 1.Go to Settings → Import Contacts
- 2.Upload your CSV file or connect to another CRM
- 3.Map your columns to OMGCRM fields
- 4.Review the preview and click "Import"
Contact Fields
Each contact can store the following information:
Full name of the contact
Primary email address
Phone number with country code
Business or organization name
Where the lead came from
Custom labels for filtering
Team member assigned to contact
Current pipeline position
Custom Fields: Create your own fields in Settings → Custom Fields to capture industry-specific data like property addresses, project types, or service tiers.
Contact Timeline
Every contact has a timeline showing all interactions:
- Stage changes — When they moved between pipeline stages
- Emails — Sent and received email conversations
- Calls — Logged phone calls with notes
- Tasks — Completed and pending follow-up tasks
- Notes — Manual notes added by team members
Filtering & Segmentation
Search & Filter
Find contacts quickly using the search bar and filters:
- • Search by name, email, phone, or company
- • Filter by pipeline stage, owner, or date range
- • Use tags to create custom segments
- • Save filters as "Smart Lists" for quick access

Tags help you organize contacts beyond the pipeline:
Merging Duplicates
Duplicate Detection
OMGCRM automatically flags potential duplicates based on email and phone:
- 1.Go to Contacts → Duplicates (or click the alert banner)
- 2.Review each duplicate pair side-by-side
- 3.Select which record to keep as the "master"
- 4.Click "Merge" to combine all data and history
